Tender evaluation

Smith Global is also able to evaluate the Technical aspects of Tenders for clients and ensure that the client fully understands their responsibilities under the tender and that the Technical aspects of the Tender are feasible & achievable. This reduces the risk of incorrect quotes by the client to their customer. We are also able to provide equipment recommendations for clients to be able to fulfil their tenders obligations.

 

3rd Party reviews of Technical proposals

Smith Global can provide 3^rd party reviews of Technical proposals to ensure viability. These include evaluations of proposed machine and equipment designs, proposed materials handling processes, and proposed equipment applications

For example, we have previously been engaged to assess the suitability of unique road-train combinations for operation on particular mining haul-road routes. We have also been engaged to review materials handling processes in sugar and sugarcane industries and in a variety of mining materials handling processes. We have been engaged to review designs created by others.

In each case we are able to provide detailed reporting as to the viability & where necessary or requested, provide recommendations for improvements.

Smith Global are experienced in the research and comprehension of a wide variety of Australian and International Standards, generally in the fields of transport, materials handling, manufacturing, safety, and mining.

These include, Australian & ISO standards, Australian Design Rules, Vehicle Standards Bulletins, Codes of Practice, Manufacturers recommended procedures, MDG15, MDG41 etc.
